The four words I hate the most. Listen to yourselves women, succumbing to that phrase only gives more of a reason for people to believe that you can’t do anything for yourselves. I’ve been helping people left to right, dreading having to hear “but I love him.” Girl, I will drop kick you if you say that one more time. Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you throw every minute of your life to them. If they told you to jump off a cliff, would you? And don’t give me that “but I love him” crap; shove that phrase up where the sun don’t shine. You are your own, and no one, not even a man, should set boundaries on how to live your life. You are bound to your own decisions, opinions, and ethics — and if a man can accept all of that without having to hold you down, appreciate that but don’t put them on a pedestal. Be strong, be confident, be independent, because in the end, the only person you can ever owe it to is yourself.
